From Lenkbar to Medimetrix – Erik previously led Lenkbar LLC, where he pioneered the development of FlexMetric® technology, a revolutionary approach to flexible surgical instrumentation. His work reshaped orthopedic procedures and led to the successful merger of Lenkbar with Intech Medical.

Dr. Robert E. Marx

Dr. Robert E. Marx, DDS, FACS, is a pioneering oral and maxillofacial surgeon renowned for his significant contributions to stem cell therapy and bone marrow procedures. As a Professor of Surgery and Chief of the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Dr. Marx has been instrumental in advancing regenerative medicine.
In 2008, Dr. Marx began developing the MarrowMarxman, an FDA-registered device designed to enhance the harvesting of autologous stem cells. This flexible, unbreakable tool allows for minimally invasive extraction of stem cells from bone marrow, facilitating effective bone regeneration and reducing patient recovery times. The MarrowMarxman has been successfully utilized in reconstructive surgeries, including jawbone regeneration, eliminating the need for more invasive procedures.
Dr. Marx has also been a leader in in-situ tissue engineering, combining autologous adult stem cells with allogeneic bone and recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 to regenerate viable bone. This approach has been applied to various procedures, such as ridge and sinus augmentations, offering improved outcomes in dental rehabilitation.
